LinkedIn for College Students: Begin Your Networking Early!

LinkedIn for College Students: Begin Your Networking Early!

I had one of those social networking moments where a stranger at Starbucks introduced himself to me after seeing the book on my table was Dan Schawbel‘s Me 2.0, the best-selling book on personal branding.  The fact that this gentlemen even knew the book and had read it was surprising.  The fact that he was teaching college students about social networking and LinkedIn was even more startling. LinkedIn Networking: 3 Ways to Find Great People to Connect With & Meet on LinkedIn

LinkedIn Groups: Are They Competing for My Membership? Why?

What are LinkedIn Applications?

What are LinkedIn Applications?

This is a funny question, and I think it is only asked because LinkedIn has not done a good job branding this functionality in their user interface.  Let me explain in more detail. Branding problem #1: LinkedIn Applications were introduced on October 28, 2008.  This introductory blog post mentioned nine applications that were released.  But in the video of the same day, there is talk about ten applications. What’s going on here? After doing some research, “Polls” was added to the list of nine applications to make ten.  Which raises the question: Is “Polls” an Application or an afterthought? Branding …
