Windmill Networking in Toronto #VXToronto Tweetup

July 22, 2010 | Windmill Networking in Toronto #VXToronto Tweetup | Toronto – I’m hoping we can connect “in person” during my *third visit to Toronto. My first two visits were fairly quick—in the early ‘90s for an AL playoff game between Toronto and Boston, then about 10 years later visiting my Japanese sister-in-law, who was on a Work Holiday for one year and living in Mississauga. (Which I’m told doesn’t really count as Toronto.)

*Anyhow, thanks to being awarded a free, roundtrip airplane ticket (LAX-YYZ) as part of a social media campaign sponsored by Virgin America and Klout (full story on my blog:http://is.gd/drb5h ), I’m very excited to be visiting Toronto, again!

And this time I really want to get to know some great parts of North America’s fifth-largest burg (a “city of neighborhoods”) and as many networking-friendly people as possible.

So what networking event can we meet at, you ask? I searched online and couldn’t find anything that seemed just right…so, with the help of Judy Gombita and Candice Best, I created one!

Dubbed the #VXToronto Tweetup (although anyone who appreciates the joy and effectiveness of networking is welcome), we’ve found a great location (in a hot, “happening” part of Toronto—Ossington Village) at Crafted. The selected date is Thursday, July 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thanks to our sponsor-host, Crafted (and others that Candice Best is working at securing), the event is no charge.

I hope to see you next week in the T-dot!

Kind regards,
