When I began blogging about LinkedIn, I felt that there was a lack of information regarding utilizing LinkedIn in the blogosphere. I have done my best to fill the gap, especially concerning the restrictions that you meet but don’t realize until you hit them! This has evolved into my popular blog posts on using LinkedIn for Job Search as well as LinkedIn for Sales and Business Development. But what about case studies of success stories on LinkedIn?
When speaking and consulting on LinkedIn, I am always asked to provide some specific LinkedIn success stories. Did you know that LinkedIn itself, through its Resource Center on its website, currently has 41 different success stories that you can use to not only learn how better to use LinkedIn yourself, but also to provide ammunition in convincing others how they should be using LinkedIn? The success stories are organized for:
- Advertising/Marketing Professionals
- Entrepreneurs/Small Business Owners
- Global
- Grads/Students
- Job Hunters/Hiring
- New Business/Clients
- “Others”
Many of the links will lead you to blog posts from LinkedIn, and in addition some have YouTube Videos. The following is my favorite one that I use in my Social Media classes when I cover LinkedIn:
That is the power of Windmill Networking: all it takes is one connection to spark something!
Which success story do you like from the LinkedIn site? Why? Any other resources for LinkedIn success stories that you recommend?
