Thank you for your comment and sorry for the delay in responding! I also appreciate your taking part in the experiment. Indeed, it looks as if anyone can join this group, which is great. I also agree that a small group is great, but if anyone can join it, maybe it defeats the purpose? LinkedIn really needs to create their own User Advisory Board, interviewing and handpicking those from the community that can give them honest and useful feedback. I would love to be on this community LinkedIn!!!
As for your question, you can't see if you're a Group Owner or Manager from your profile. You need to go to a Group and look at who the Owner/Managers are through the Overview tab.

Hi Shiyun,

Thank you for your comment and sorry for the delay in responding! First of all, out of curiosity, I applied the group and got accepted today. There are 7 joined today, comes to 347 total. I am not a group owner nor a manger.
Looks like this "LinkedIn Group" is specifically for Groups Forum, not any LinkedIn product. If I searched "LinkedIn Product" + "Professional Group", can only find other two LinkedIn Groups. One of that being the "LinkedIn Product Managers"; which probably should not be created under the Groups, IMO. (I mean why the LinkedIn employees don't just use an internal email alias?)
The 3 questions raised are interesting. I think a small member group is easier to manage and get quicker response. Image if all potential 38M users participate to discuss the same issue?
I think that will be in the LinkedIn Customer Service Dept. territory. Then again you have one blog on "How to complain to LinkedIn". Also listened to the Connections podcast from Marc Freedman recently, one can see that LinkedIn has muted the mic from their end.
Thanks,
PS. How to see if a member is a Group Owner/Manager from s/he's profile?

Hi Neal:

First of all, out of curiosity, I applied the group and got accepted today.
