I've been connected to Obama for a month or so now. No reply from him, no new questions to his network for me to comment on, unless I've missed something major on LinkedIn.

If you're inclined, you may try to reach other politically-connected people. McCain makes no secret of the fact he doesn't even use e-mail himself. There was an eye-opening article recently at URL http://www.technologyreview.com/web/21222/?a=f [take a minute to register first to see this, if you're not already registered there], having to do with how Barack Obama has maintained the social networking edge over his competitors, blowing past Hillary in the primaries partly because he was so well-connected and his people were so organized. This and other articles I've recently read make me wonder what the future holds in store.

SUCCESS STORY: I am successfully connected to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on LinkedIn, also, and she [presumably, a staffer or personal assistant] has sent me several friendly e-mails in response to letters and notes I've sent via LinkedIn's messaging service.

Mr. Obama's people haven't done for me, to date, but then again, I wasn't very complimentary of him in recent blogging I've done at http://musingsandmaunderings.blogspot.com/ and in comments at http://huffingtonpost.com/ What do they say about honey and vinegar, in regard to attracting insects?
